Back in 1958, an inspired group of road racing enthusiasts formed a small club dedicated to affordable road racing fun. To keep the costs low and their families happy, the racers families and friends were recruited to staff and manage the events. By doing this, a unique and exciting type of event was created. An event where anyone can show up, regardless of their experience, and safely get as close to real sports car racing as they like.

If you have ever wanted to get involved in real sports car racing, this is your opportunity. Midwestern Council is a great place to get started. We have opportunities for you to get involved by volunteering in just about any aspect of our events.

Race Staff Clinic -
Showing up at one of our competition events without any previous experience can be a big step. Midwestern Council Race Staff Clinics are designed to give people a little slower introduction to our events.

At our clinics, we will take a more personal approach to finding where you might fit in. Our experienced and friendly volunteers will give you an introduction to most all of the volunteer positions we have available.

We have two types of Clinics; Clinics held at the race track and Clinics held elsewhere. Race Staff Clinics held at the race track are normally held in conjunction with our racing schools. This makes for a low pressure environment for everyone. Occasionally, we also hold clinics at special events. These normally happen before the racing season starts.

How to Volunteer -
The easiest way to volunteer is to just show up at one of our events. We ALWAYS need and welcome volunteers.

If you wish, feel free to contact us before any event with any questions you may have at our email address: volunteer@mcscc.org. We promise to respond to emails quickly and thoroughly.

If you are okay just showing up, please show up at the track before 8am. We always have a registration booth setup at the entrance to the track. Tell the people there you would like to volunteer as Race Staff for the event. That should be enough to get you in the door and pointed in the right direction.
